Dr. Charles Masimba Chihumbiri is a highly experienced General Practitioner with over 37 years of practice, specialising in the diagnosis and management of allergic diseases. He offers a holistic approach to investigating and treating environmental and food allergies in both children and adults, utilising techniques such as skin prick testing, blood tests, imaging, nasendoscopy, and both oral and injectable immunotherapy.

Dr. Chihumbiri is dedicated to providing evidence-based, compassionate, and patient-centered care to achieve optimal health outcomes. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practice and holds a Master of International Public Health from the University of Queensland, a Master of Medicine in Leadership and Management from the University of Newcastle, and a Master of Medicine in Allergic Diseases from Western Sydney University, where he was recognized on the Dean's Merit List.

Dr Chihumbiri is an associate medical member of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA).

Please note:

To have skin prick testing done at the initial consultation, patients should avoid taking antihistamines and using steroid creams for at least five days prior to the appointment date. Other medications such as antidepressants and beta-blockers may also interfere with testing. Asthma medication should, however not be withheld.

Consumption of food within the Allergy Clinic is strongly discouraged to ensure safety for those who may suffer from food allergies.
