Charl graduated from Macquarie University, completing his thesis on ICU physiotherapy and clinical education. He has spent the past five years in rural Northern Territory, where he founded his own company in 2023 with a mission to deliver high-quality Allied Health services to extremely remote communities across Arnhem Land. While operations continue in the NT, Charl has recently relocated south to be closer to family and to expand services into Australia’s colder Territory.

His clinical interests include the evidence-based management of lower back pain, supported by his research background in intermittent hypoxia and type 2 diabetes. Beyond his professional work, Charl has been actively involved in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for many years and maintains a strong interest in wrestling, grappling, and combat sports.
